Elsie Nana Ama Duncan Williams is a Ghanaian singer and songwriter. Born in Accra, she is the daughter of Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams and Rev Dr Francisca Duncan Williams. She has Rosa Whitaker as a stepmother and three siblings.
She graduated from Oral Robert’s University with a bachelor degree in Music and Church Administration. Elsie discovered her talent for singing at a young age when she joined the kids’ choir in her church. Some of her notable performances include the inauguration of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the funeral service of former President Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings and MegaFest hosted by international preacher Bishop TD Jakes, church conferences among others.
Artistes who have inspired her singing include Whitney Houston, Maria Carey, Celine Dion, Shirley Caesar, Yolanda Adams, Andrea Bocelli, and Barbara Streisand.
Elsie is married to Bishop Kibby Otoo, and God has blessed them with four girls. She believes her life journey has shaped her to become the kind of singer she is. She is passionate about her music because she uses her scars and emotions to express what she feels in her music.
